--The Braves-Mets game was postponed Friday due to steady, heavy rain. It will be made up as part of a traditional single-admission doubleheader Saturday beginning with the previously scheduled television coverage at 3:55.
--3B Chipper Jones was not in the scheduled lineup Friday after his back tightened up. He made several dives on the infield in Thursday's game, with jarring results. That, and the plane ride to New York, took their toll. --RHP Jair Jurrjens has been hampered by end-of-season fatigue, which he believes has cost him control of his pitches. So he took the advice of RHP John Smoltz and stopped running between starts, opting for other cardio workouts. Thursday's 10-strikeout effort was his first start since the change in routine.
--RHP Charlie Morton has been shut down for the season after experiencing soreness near his right shoulder blade and the emergence of RHP James Parr, who has pitched 12 scoreless innings in two starts in the last week.
--RHP Peter Moylan's rehab from ligament replacement (Tommy John) surgery is proceeding on schedule. After a checkup with Dr. James Andrews, Moylan will be continuing a program of light throwing.
