--Long time Braves announcer Skip Caray died in his sleep Sunday afternoon. He was 68. Caray, who was the voice of the Braves for 33 years, battled diabetes, congestive heart failure, an irregular heartbeat and had limited liver and kidney functions. Caray was best known for his call in the 1992 National League Division Series when Sid Bream crossed the plate to win the series. ?Braves Win! Braves Win! Braves Win! Braves Win!? exclaimed Caray, who also behind the microphone when Atlanta won its lone World Series title in 1995. The cause of death was not immediately known. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date, according to Braves officials.

--RHP Rafael Soriano was placed back on the 15-day disabled list after Sunday's contest against the Milwaukee Brewers with a sore right elbow. It is the third time this season that the right-handed reliever has been placed on the DL with the same elbow injury.

--The Braves purchased the contract of LHP Francisley Bueno from Class AAA Richmond after Soriano's injury. The 27-year-old Bueno was 2-5 with a 5.02 ERA in 17 games -- 12 starts -- for Atlanta's top farm team. The Braves needed another lefty in the bullpen after the club designated LHP Royce Ring for assignment on Saturday.

--C Brian McCann will return behind the plate on Monday for the first time since leaving the game last Sunday after suffering a concussion in a head-to-head collision with Philadelphia OF Shane Victorino. The three-time All-Star was cleared to pinch-hit in Atlanta's weekend series against the Brewers, but was not used by Braves manager Bobby Cox.

--RHP Jorge Campillo continued his mastery of the Brewers by hurling seven scoreless frames on Sunday. The right-hander, who improved to 3-0 against Milwaukee this season, has all three of Atlanta's wins in the season set between the two clubs.

--LHP Tom Glavine will begin a rehabilitation start with Class A-Advanced Myrtle Beach on Monday. If all goes well, the left-handed hurler will throw for Class AA Mississippi on August 9. He remains on schedule to rejoin the injury-decimated Atlanta rotation in mid-August.

BY THE NUMBERS: 3-0: RHP Jorge Campillo's record against the Milwaukee Brewers this season. Against all other teams, Campillo's record is 3-4.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "We decided (to become sellers) when our club just had too many players hurt right now to compete. We felt like it would be a time to rebuild the club... You can only battle injuries so far. We're a little short-handed right now." -- Braves GM Frank Wren, on why the club traded 1B Mark Teixeira at the trade deadline.
