--RF Jeff Francoeur snapped a 10 at-bat hitless streak in a big way Thursday night with three hits, including a three-run home run. It had been 68 games -- since May 21 versus the Mets -- since his last three-hit game.
--OF Matt Diaz has suffered another setback in his rehab, his left knee buckling as he ran the bases playing for Class AAA Richmond. The initial injury to his posterior cruciate ligament, caused when he crashed into an unpadded section of Miller Park, has healed, but Diaz has been bothered by an inflamed nerve in the knee.
