The Pawtucket PawSox eked out only one run on Sunday, but it was enough to top the visiting Gwinnett Braves on Sunday.

The loss wasted a strong performance by Braves starter Charlie Morton, who struck out 10 in seven innings.

Morton had a part in his own undoing, though, throwing two wild pitches in the fourth inning to allow Pawtucket's Sean Danielson to move from first to third after opening the inning with a single. Danielson scored when Chip Ambres singled on a ground ball to Morton.

The Braves made their most serious threat to score in the eighth inning, with the bases loaded and only one out. But Brooks Conrad grounded a ball to PawSox shortstop Iggy Suarez to start an inning-ending double play.

Pawtucket's Clay Buchholtz (1-0) pitched 5 1/3, to take the win. Marcus McBeth got the save.

Morton's record falls to 2-2.
